Day 1

Here is The Right Guy in all his 29 stone, 1 lb glory. Day one was a bitch. Part of the pre-surgical deal is that two prior it's a 1200 calorie a day diet. For me that is like trying to go to California on a gallon of gas, except I have to do it.

You may ask, why does one getting this surgery have to go on such a restricted diet 2 weeks prior? Basically, heavy people tend to have enlarged livers and it makes the operation difficult and sometimes impossible to do laparoscopically if the liver is too big.

So, here I am. I feel like my head is going to implode in my body. They tell me that that goes away after a couple days. After I drop around 2 stone, i will start my exercise regimen. That will get it going, but I don't see that happening until 2 weeks after the restrictor plate installation.

Still, it's an adventure. I will post pictures once a week to show my progress, along with the vital statistics and hopefully some insight and humor to go along with it. You have to be able to laugh well and at yourself to do something like this, but WTF. Until next time...

Thank you for reading this blog.
